N. Ruth Mistic, MSW, LISW

My name is N. Ruth Mistic and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I have practiced social work for close to 47 years with 40 years as a mental health professional. I have extensive work with children, adolescents, families, and adults and now also enjoy working with the older population in areas unique to aging. My approach in therapy is solution-focused (meaning work is focused on finding solutions to your specific concerns) and generally based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (helping you learn to recognize and modify negative thoughts so you feel and function your best).

I have chosen to continue my work past the typical retirement age because I respect and enjoy being part of the process of individual change and growth. You may request the opportunity to explore or utilize Christian values and teaching in your counseling with me.
