 Noha Everetts, MAEd, LPCC

My name is Noha Everetts and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and Human Development with a focus in Community Counseling from George Washington University. I have completed further training at the Cognitive Therapy Institute. I have experience in counseling older adolescents, adults, and couples. My approach to therapy is Solution and Present focused aimed at meeting you where you are to help you manage your current struggles. In doing this, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help change negative thought patterns and behaviors by examining how past influences impact the present. Additionally, I aim to encompass a holistic approach considering the whole person, physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally as well as taking into account the environment without focusing solely on symptoms. Using empathy and understanding I try to build on clients' strengths.

In addition to working with people with a variety of different mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression, I also have an interest in working with issues of grief and loss, stress management, women's issues and the challenges of transitioning to adulthood, retirement or other life stages. I work with couples desiring to improve communication, needing guidance on balancing the many roles they have, and effective parenting strategies for their adolescents. I also provide divorce mediation agreement services including shared parenting agreements.
