Full Time Administrative Assistant for Mental Health Private Practice

Avenues of Counseling & Mediation, LLC is a private practice offering mental health counseling for all ages. Located in Fairlawn, for 10 years, and the historic district of Medina, Ohio for 25 years. With 50 therapists and experienced clinical psychologists, Avenues is committed to providing confidential and high-quality care to its clients.

Avenues is looking for a Full-Time experienced administrative assistant. The position is for 40 hours per week, on-site at our Bath office, though occasional coverage may be requested at our Medina office.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Verifying Patient Insurance Coverage

  • Collecting Patient Co-Pays & Outstanding Balances

  • Scheduling New Patients

  • Maintain HIPAA Compliance for Client Privacy

  • Perform other duties as requested

Skills needed: Google Workspace suite, ability to comfortably navigate online insurance portals, multi-tasking, excellent communication and organizational skills, professionalism, confidentiality, problem solving, ability to critically think about daily priorities, ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment, and a positive attitude. Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Compensation:  The hourly wage range is $18-$22 and will be based on experience and skills. Pay is bi-weekly. Perks include IRA matching (eligible after 3 months), paid vacation, 8 Paid holidays, casual business attire, free/close parking, ongoing training, discounts on services in our wellness center, working in a positive and supportive atmosphere. Medical benefits are not included in this position.


Vivify Part time/Full time receptionist: 

We have part time-to-full time hours available. Vivify Wellness at Avenues offers a Salt Room, massage therapy, NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback and Infrared Sauna and Acupuncture.  This small business is a Boutique atmosphere in the quaint Bath Township. The total hours and confirmed schedule has some flexibility but would likely encompass some evening and/or weekend coverage. Pay $15 per hour. 

The responsibilities include: 

  • Receiving clients in a welcoming way

  • Building rapport & engaging clients by educating them on the services

  • Set-up/Clean-up for Yoga Classes (some minor lifting required)

  • Running Halogenator for Salt

  • Light Cleaning of Salt Room in between sessions

  • Set-up/Clean-up for Massage and Infrared Sessions

  • Scheduling appointments & managing packages, gift certificates

  • Answering Incoming Calls

  • Light Laundry
