Alexandra (Allie) Cappelli, M.Ed, LPCC-S

My name is Allie, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Designation (LPCC-S). With over 8 years in the field, I have cultivated a versatile skillset through my work across hospitals, community mental health centers, and private practice settings.

I specialize in working with couples, as well as adult individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and eating disorders. I am also particularly passionate about supporting women who are navigating PCOS, endometriosis and infertility given the unique emotional challenges that can accompany hormonal and reproductive health.

Former clients often describe me as down-to-earth, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, with a balance of warmth and light humor when appropriate. I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is one of the most important components of successful therapy and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs.

Outside of my work, I value the importance of balance and self-care. I enjoy spending time with my three dogs, — Izzie, Arlo, and Kora— exploring the outdoors in Northeast Ohio, engaging in joyful movement, and experimenting with creative recipes in the kitchen.

Seeking support can be a difficult first step, and I’m glad you’re here. I look forward to supporting you on your path toward greater balance, clarity, and well-being.
