Alexandra (Allie) Cappelli, M.Ed, LPCC-S
My name is Allie, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Designation (LPCC-S). With 10 years in the field, I have cultivated a versatile skillset through my work across hospitals, community mental health centers, and private practice settings.
Among my many areas of specialty, I really enjoy working with couples, as well as adult individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and eating disorders. Given the unique emotional challenges that can accompany hormonal and reproductive health, I am particularly passionate about supporting women who are navigating PCOS, endometriosis, IVF, pregnancy loss and infertility.
Former clients often describe me as down-to-earth, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, with a balance of warmth and light humor when appropriate. I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is one of the most important components of successful therapy and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs.
Outside of my work, I value the importance of balance and self-care. I enjoy spending time with my three dogs, — Izzie, Arlo, and Kora— exploring the outdoors in Northeast Ohio, engaging in joyful movement, and experimenting with creative recipes in the kitchen.
Seeking support can be a difficult first step, and I’m glad you’re here. I look forward to supporting you on your path toward greater balance, clarity, and well-being.
