Mounir Ibrahim, PhD, MA, LPCC, CDCA

My name is Mounir Ibrahim, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) in Ohio. I hold a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Bradford (UK) and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. With over five years of experience working with children and adults, I support clients dealing with anxiety, mood concerns, grief, relationship challenges, and life stressors.

My approach to therapy is relational, practical, and tailored to each individual. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients—and, when appropriate, with families and caregivers—to provide meaningful and holistic support. I draw from an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Schema Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I provide comprehensive clinical services, including diagnostic assessments, substance use disorder (SUD) evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and risk assessments, to ensure care is thoughtful and responsive to each client’s needs.

I understand that seeking therapy is a significant step, and finding the right therapist matters. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences. I am passionate about helping individuals build insight, resilience, and practical skills for lasting change. My multicultural life experience—having lived and worked across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America—deepens my sensitivity to culture, context, and the shared human journey of growth and transformation.
